Attendee Insights

We understand that attending a conference can be a whirlwind of activity, so it’s crucial to prioritize sessions while leaving room for networking and exploring the exhibit hall. We have carefully curated an experience that leaves time for you to create a balanced schedule of education and connection.

Design Your Schedule Before Arrival

When building your schedule, be mindful of what sessions your pass will allow you access to. There is still time to upgrade to an all access pass where you will have access to everything SATELLITE and GovMilSpace has to offer.

Prioritize wisely! It’s tempting to attend back-to-back sessions, but keep your goals in mind. Choose sessions that offer the most value to you by focusing on sessions that align with your professional goals or interests. Sessions were scheduled to end with plenty of time left to visit the exhibit hall and reconnect with attendees.

Network While You Wait

Take advantage of our coffee service before sessions begin each day. While filling your cup, ask the person next to you what session they’re going to or what they’re looking for in the next session.

When you’re waiting for a session to start, strike up conversation with someone sitting near you. Ask if they’ve been to this event before or if they’ve attended any other good sessions so far. A large portion of our audience has not been to SATELLITE. New acquaintances bring diverse viewpoints and experiences!

Engage with Speakers

Don’t be shy about approaching speakers after their session. Speakers appreciate feedback and thoughtful questions; and it’s a great way to start a conversation. Find out if the speaker has a booth in the exhibit hall. Visiting their booth can provide a more relaxed atmosphere to dive deeper into discussions.

Explore the Exhibit Hall Strategically

The exhibit hall can be overwhelming. Use what you’ve learned from sessions to guide your exploration. Focus on exhibitors that align with the topics and innovations that piqued your interest. Many of our sessions in the Tech Theater were designed based off of the products and services you’ll see on the exhibit hall floor. Browse the directory to find if the organizations speaking also have a booth.

A well-rounded conference experience isn’t just about attending sessions. It’s also about making connections, discovering new ideas, and finding inspiration in unexpected places.
